Library Resources

Kohinoor College Library provides information to the library users. Library Resources include Books, Text Books, Reference Books, Competitive Exam Books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, and CD/DVDs.

Library Collection

The library has 15,415 printed books, subscribes to 42 Journals and Magazines, and 12 Newspapers. It also contains Reference Books, CD/DVD Globes, and Maps (WORLD, INDIA & MAHARASHTRA), and an Atlas.

Library Facilities

The library has a computerized database and uses LMS Library Management Systems Software. It provides access to the UGC INFLIBNET N-List Programme and M-Library from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University, Aurangabad. OPAC and bar-coding facilities are also available. The college has a Digital Library for Students and Staff Members.

Library Architecture

The College library has 4038.26 sq.meter on the second floor and consists of the Reading Room Section, Circulation Section, Journals/Periodicals Section, Reference & Competitive Section, Librarian’s Cabin, Digital Library, and Library Stacks Room.

Users

The library users include all the students of Junior College, Under Graduate, and Post Graduate, teaching Faculty, and Non-teaching Staff. It has about 812 Junior College students, 1683 Under Graduate students, 479 Post Graduate students, 46 teaching, and 23 Non-teaching staff.

Collection

The library houses 15,415 books at present. It subscribes to 42 Journals and Periodicals related to subjects and recreational Magazines. It also subscribes to 12 Newspapers in English, Hindi, and Marathi as per the needs of UG & PG students and staff.

Library Timing

• On working days the library is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
• Daily issuing counter is open for the students from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30.p.m.
• Reading Room is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. During examinations timing is extended from 7.30 p.m.
• Reading Room is kept open on Sunday and public Holidays from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 during the examination period.
• During the period of vacation library is open from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
